For the 2019 Season, the UK fleet are repeating their success and staying with the exciting multi event-one location format. This type of racing is expected to draw big numbers and be incredibly competative amongst the growing fleet.
The Location
The Fleet will be launching from Calshot Spit from Calshot Activities Centre. The boats will launch onto the Solent where the racetrack will be. The race format will vary throughout the year and be a mixture of the standard windward leeward courses and some long distance "round the cans" races to show off the exciting fleet. All the boats are being stored closeby promsiing a big turnout for each Grand Prix Weekend
The Sailors
The current fleet will be coming together to one place to battle out for the Grand Prix title. There is always opportunities to get sailing amongst with existing teams or bringing a team together for your own crack at the title. Get in touch at grandprix@uk18footer.org to find out more.
